Titanium dioxide Nanomesh

Titanium dioxide nanomesh can decompose various harmful substances (such as organic chemicals and bacteria) on its surface with strong oxidation, when irradiated by ultraviolet light such as sunlight and fluorescent.

Titanium dioxide has three different crystal structures; rutile (tetragonal structure, high temperature phase), anatase (tetragonal structure, low temperature phase), and brookite (orthorhombic structure). Rutile has been used as the white pigment; moreover, anatase as photocatalytic material.

Tokita CVD systems offers “Titanium Dioxide Nanomesh” having anatase nanomesh structure.


  • Fine mesh structure with nanometer order has large surface area and, therefore, high photocatalytic activity.
  • Because no binder is used, only anatase TiO2 is deposited on the substrate surface.
  • Excellent adhesion with various substrates, being inherent characteristic of films produced by the CVD technique, is achieved for many uses in solution.

Acetaldehyde molecules can not been detected at 120 min after the introduction of reagent of 100 ppm.

  • Ammonia

The decomposition capability of the titanium dioxide nanomesh was evaluated: The concentration of ammonia gas was measured where the gas of ∼ 20 ppm was introduced into the bag every 30 minutes.
